TEC past

The main goal of the TEC project was to discuss the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) as well as to test its application. All discussions and theoretical analysis are summarized within the reports prepared by the project partners; the practical application of the classification is further elaborated within actual case studies. The final TEC conference, held the 13th of June 2014 in Slovakia, provided an opportunity to reflect back and also to think forward upon the tools utilized within the TEC project.

All partners agreed to improve their assessing systems building on the ICF philosophy, mainly because – „a person can be better described just considering also his/her context of life” (the TEC web).

TEC future

Are you curious what will happen with the whole ICF philosophy after the project is really over in September 2014? Please have a look into the ideas of the involved partners.

Good practice from Slovakia

Slovakia is a small country in the middle of Europe where you can find except for beautiful mountains and small picturesque towns also several institutions working to help people with disabilities. At the occasion of the sixth transnational meeting the TEC partners visited: the elementary boarding school for blind and partially sighted children and the Slovak Blind and Partially Sighted Union. Moreover they took part at presentation of the guide dogs carried out by the Guide and Assistance Dog Training School.
